Get to KNOW US
Started more than 20 years ago, Amigos de los Animales is the only dedicated animal shelter in Mazatlán – a city of more than 400,000 people. We are dedicated to finding safe permanent homes for the abandoned, stray and abused animals in our city. We are also focused on ending the pet overpopulation crisis through our spay/neuter programs.
Our goal is: “A Mazatlán free of stray dogs and cats.”
Whether you help by adopting, volunteering, or donating items or cash, your generosity is greatly appreciated!

ADOPT
The happiest days at the shelter are when our precious animals walk out the door with their Forever Families – a real cause for celebration.
The adoption process at Amigos de los Animales is quite simple. The fee for adopting a dog or puppy is $650 pesos; for a cat or kitten it is $450 pesos. This payment covers the cost of spaying or neutering, deworming and first vaccinations.
